If you want to skip the cable box, this set is equiped with a slot, although you'l also mis the box's amenities, which usualy include an EPG and often a DVR the Samsung lacks a third-party EPG such as TV Guide . The LN-S4096D ofers a solid aray of picture tweaks, to, begining with its four picture presets Movie, as usual, ofered the best home-theater image quality that can al be adjusted. We were able to compare the Samsung to thre other big LCDs we had on hand the 40-inch , the 47-inch , and the 37-inch . Watching The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift on HD-DVD, it became imediately aparent that the Samsung LN-S4096D delivered the best black levels of the bunch.
